What types of tutoring do you offer?
Coastal Academic offers personalized tutoring for SAT prep, ACT prep, AP courses, academic tutoring, study skills, coursework support, and homework support. Services are tailored to each student's goals, schedule, and academic needs.
Do you provide one-on-one tutoring?
Yes. We offer personalized one-on-one tutoring and may also offer small-group options depending on the subject, student needs, and scheduling availability.
Do you help with SAT and ACT preparation?
Yes. We provide SAT and ACT prep with diagnostic-driven planning, targeted instruction, pacing support, practice strategy, and progress review.
Do you offer AP tutoring?
Yes. AP tutoring is available for students who need help with challenging coursework, AP exam preparation, study planning, and subject-specific support.
Do you help with homework?
Yes. Homework support can be part of academic tutoring. The goal is not only to complete assignments, but also to help students understand the material, build stronger habits, and become more independent over time.
How do you determine what my student needs?
We begin by learning about your student's goals, current challenges, timeline, and academic history. For SAT or ACT prep, we may recommend a diagnostic assessment to identify strengths, gaps, pacing patterns, and next steps.
Do you offer in-person tutoring?
Yes. In-center tutoring is offered at our Ponte Vedra Beach office. In-home tutoring brings personalized academic support and SAT/ACT prep to students in grades 6–12. We confirm the tutor, subjects and recurring schedule before enrollment. Online tutoring is also available.
How long are tutoring sessions?
Session length and frequency depend on the student's grade, goals, program, and tutoring format. We recommend and confirm the schedule before enrollment.
How often should my student meet with a tutor?
Most students attend once or twice per week, depending on the subject, goals, timeline, and level of support needed. Some SAT, ACT, AP, or intensive academic plans may meet more frequently.
How does billing work?
Tuition is billed in four-week cycles based on the student's tutoring plan and recurring schedule. We confirm tuition and enrollment terms before tutoring begins.
Are assessments or diagnostics required?
No. Academic assessments and SAT/ACT diagnostics are complimentary and optional. Families may also begin with a conversation about the student's coursework, goals, and scheduling needs.
Can siblings or friends share a tutoring session?
Private and small-group options may be available when students' subjects, levels, goals, and schedules are compatible. We confirm group fit and tuition before enrollment.
How is in-home tuition determined?
In-home tuition is quoted as an all-inclusive amount based on location, tutoring format, and recurring schedule. We confirm the schedule and tuition before enrollment.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice when a session must be canceled. Late cancellations are normally charged. Complete cancellation and rescheduling terms are provided before enrollment.
How do I get started?
